The app that I want to design, Gamer(review) Chat, would be a hub for review scores for video games from every major gaming website, while also being able to look up specific games and serve as a community hub in order to find more players for specific games or give their own opinions on the game.
My app would differ itself from websites like Metacritic because instead of giving an aggregate score from different sites, some which are purposefully negative in order to lower the aggregate. The app would show off the different scores from sites like IGN and Gamespot, and show some positive and negative bullet points from the game being reviewed.

The reviews and critical aspects are there to inform gamers about new game releases and also older games that they might be discovering for the first time. Through the review scores and bullet points the consumer will be able to make an educated decision when it comes to purchasing the game.
The other aspect that is appealing to the app user is its social aspects. Once one finds a game of their choice they will be able to communicate with people who were also looking at the same game, in a message board type system that will allow them to arrange group gaming or simply talk about the game in question.

Consumers will want to use Gamer(eview) Chat, because it will help them discover new games that will hopefully get them involved in a community of similar minded gamers that want to share their passion for gaming with each other. The app combines the serious analytical aspect of game criticism with the fun social aspect of online gaming, and this combination will attract the two different audiences that share the same passion.
